About Bear Valley Snowmobile
Established in 1967, Bear Valley Snowmobile is the place to rent a snowmobile by the hour to enjoy the beautiful twenty-foot wide groomed trails of Northern California’s Stanislaus Forest. We offer not one but three trails to snowmobile in. Enjoy breath taking views of Lake Alpine, Cape Horn, Stanislaus Meadow Loop, Mosquito Lakes, Hermit Valley, Pacific Valley, Floger Peak, Hiram Peak, Carson-Iceberg Wilderness, Toiyabe National Forest, Mokelumne River, Mokelumne Wilderness, picturesque Spicer Reservoir, Utica Reservoir, Union Reservoir and many other points of interest. We are the only place in California where you can rent a snowmobile without a guide on a regular basis - self guided snowmobile rentals! Snwomobile rentals include 2 hour, 4 hour, 6 hour for the trails and 1 hour and snowmobile overnight use in the Bear Valley Village and subdivision - Bear Valley is THE place where you can rent a cabin, rent a snowmobile, ski down a mountain, snowshoe in the Sierras, sled in the snow, cross country ski in the snow, sled downhill, and just play in the snow all in one snowy vacation. We include helmets and a SnoPark pass - the parking pass that lets you park at California's snow parks, "SnoPark", with every Alpine and Spicer rental. We offer the best snowmobiling in northern California and snowmobiling in the Western United States.
We are located half way between South Lake Tahoe and Yosemite National Park at an elevation of 7000 feet. With the closest snow to the San Francisco Bay Area, folks can be skiing, cross country skiing, tubing, sledding and playing in the snow within a few hours. Along the drive up to Bear Valley you will pass Angels Camp, gold mining town made famous by Mark Twains “Jumping Frog” story, Big Trees National Park, and picturesque Arnold. There are lots of lodging options along Hwy 4, hotels in Angels Camp, lodges in Arnold, Bed and Breakfasts in the Sierras, time-share in Arnold just ask your local northern california vacation travel agent or give us a call and ask us for snow vacation ideas - the Sierra high country is our backyard!
After a day of cross country skiing at Bear Valley Cross Country Adventure Company, or skiing at Bear Valley Ski Resort, or snowshoeing, or just a bit of sledding you will find you may want to continue exploring our winter wonderland without a great deal of physical exertion. This is when a snowmobile with electric start, hand warmers and a comfortable seat work beautifully. Another advantage of motorized transportation over the snow is being able to share the snow with small children and disabled riders – snow family fun for everyone! It is important to bring your kids because we are family friendly snowmobile rental. Snowmobiling with kids is a wonderful way to share the outdoors with kids.
